COLORADO REGULATIONS

Dear Massage Therapist,

TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE! Do not delay in beginning your state registration application and paperwork. The Colorado Chapter of AMTA is pleased to let you know that registration applications, information and forms are now available at the Department of Regulatory Agencies web site.

In order to practice massage therapy after April 1, 2009, you must be registered with the state. The background check may take up to 12 weeks to be processed through the Colorado Bureau of Investigation so don't delay in getting your fingerprints form completed. In addition to the complete information at the DORA web site, you can also get additional details in a fact sheet and information sheet about grandfathering on our website. Grandfathering will end 12/31/2009. Full registration will be in effect 1/1/2010.

Here is the link to our website: http://www.amtacolorado.org . Please click on the 2nd "click here" to get to the fact sheet and click on the Government Relations tab on the left of the main screen for the grandfathering information. Thank you for being a member of AMTA.
