This comprehensive and in depth course offers students a logical and condensed approach to assessing and treating orthopedic and sports injuries for each area of the body. The assessments are concise to allow therapists ample treatment time. Basic body injury response patterns are covered along with specific injury assessment and treatment. Lab practice focuses on the application of Cyriax transverse massage, joint mobilization, contract-relax release work to affectively treat the underlying structure involved. The work is very structure-specific . You won’t just learn which tendon or ligament you are on, but which part of it you expect the scar tissue to form. An evening clinic provides participants with an opportunity to invite friends, family or clients for an evaluation and advice on treatment. Previous students found this to be invaluable in tying all the information together in a practical way they can integrate immediately in their practice. A 130 page manual is included with the course.
