Myofascial Release
Myofascial Release works on the restricted fascia AKA Connective Tissue of the body. This is often performed without lubrication using knuckles, elbows, or other tools to slowly stretch the restricted fascia. Direct Myofascial Release seeks for changes in the myofascial structures by stretching, elongation of fascia, or mobilizing adhesive tissues. The practitioner moves slowly through the layers of the fascia until the deep tissues are reached.

Myofascial Release Massage in
Aspen & Basalt Colorado
Myofasical Release is often incorporated into Neuromuscular Therapy or Deep Tissue Massage. Our specialist are highly trained in the indirect method of Myofascial Release which involves a gentle stretch, with only a few grams of pressure, this allows the fascia to ‘unwind’ itself. The gentle traction applied to the restricted fascia will result in heat and increased blood flow in the area. This allows the body’s inherent ability for self-correction to return, thus eliminating pain and restoring the optimum performance of the body.

Conditions we treat using this modality are:
Specialized Massage Services & Techniques
Table Thai Massage
Integrates facilitated stretching combined with acupressure and compression. Ideal for stiff, sore, and tired bodies over-exerted in work or sports and helps to prevent injury.
Neuromuscular / Trigger Point
An intense form of bodywork that consists of focused, concentrated massage on one specific area of the body with pressure for a period of up to thirty seconds at a time. Designed to alleviate tension that extends from a “trigger point” into an entire muscle.
Myofascial Release
Works on the connective tissue of the body, seeking changes in the myofascial structures by stretching, elongation of fascia, or mobilizing adhesive tissues. Ideal for eliminating pain and restoring optimum performance to the body.
Barefoot Massage
Uses deep compression effleurage strokes and flowing movements, which can create a structural change in chronic soft tissue damage. Mounted ceiling bars are used above the therapist’s head for balance.
Deep Tissue Massage
Using more intense pressure, work is aimed at the deeper tissue structures of the muscle and fascia, also called connective tissue, to release chronic muscle tension or knots.
Lymphatic Drainage
Specialized massage to reduce swelling, aid circulation, and support the immune system, helping with lymphedema, post-surgical swelling, sinus issues, and chronic conditions.
